Wideband 25Km RF Link | PL7440T / PL7440R10

Wideband 25Km RF Link | PL7440T / PL7440R10

The PL7440T and PL7440R10 from Global Foxcom’s Platinum Series are wideband RF over fiber links for 10 to 3000 MHz. With a 10 dB optical budget when paired with the PL7440R10 receiver, the link supports distances over 25 Km and can extend to 40 Km with the PL7440T1550.

Features & Benefits

  • Wideband 10 to 3000 MHz
  • More than 25 Km distance with 10 dB budget
  • Up to 40 Km with PL7440T1550
  • Front panel LCD and rack mounted SNMP
  • User control of IMD level
  • Variety of RF and optical connectors
  • CWDM ITU grid and 1550 nm options
  • Single fiber multiplexing support
  • 10 dB optical budget with PL7440R10

PL7440T with PL7440R10 carries wideband RF over fiber across site links with stable, linear performance and strong headroom. The low-profile modules mount in the Platinum PL7010 chassis and are hot-swappable, with redundant power supplies and fan-free cooling. With DigiRF™ control available from the front-panel LCD and through SNMP-based management, operators can handle setup, operation, status, and alarms locally or remotely. The embedded IMizer™ provides automated link calibration by tuning the laser drive to the selected IMD target and preserving CNR without a two-tone test, using a correction factor table above 2.5 GHz where required. This platform fits neatly into RF over Fiber solutions where dependable 25 Km reach is required, with longer distances enabled by the available transmitter option.

How can I extend reach beyond 25 Km?

Use the PL7440T1550 transmitter with the PL7440R10 to support distances up to 40 Km.

Can modules be replaced while the link is active?

Yes. The transmitter and receiver are hot swappable so service can continue during maintenance.

Can multiple RF paths share one fiber?

Yes. CWDM on the ITU grid enables several paths to operate on a single strand when fiber is limited.

What connector and impedance options are available?

The link supports 50 ohm and 75 ohm paths. RF connectors include F, SMA and N, and optical connectors are FC APC or SC APC with an E2000 option.

What operating conditions does the hardware support?

Typical operation is from 10 degrees below zero to 55 degrees Celsius with 95 percent relative humidity non-condensing. The platform carries FCC Class B and CE Mark EMI ratings.
