Basic Details

The GL7030 is designed as a high-performance, cost-effective alternative to conventional coaxial-cabled systems for low-frequency RF signal transport. The link is suited to satellite uplink and downlink facilities where high CNR levels are required. It consists of a high input power optical transmitter that converts RF signals into optical signals for transmission over fiber and an optical receiver that converts them back to RF. It accommodates all radio modulation schemes, including digital and analog formats, while direct modulation of the laser diode helps maintain low phase performance. High dynamic range DFB laser technology supports signal quality for demanding applications, and the system is compatible with the first-generation Sat-Light 7000 Series platform.
