Sat-Light/Platinum Chassis Kit | PL7010

Sat-Light/Platinum Chassis Kit | PL7010

PL7010 is a 3RU 19 inch RF over fiber chassis for up to 12 Sat Light Platinum cards, the PL700 controller and two PL7011 power supplies. It serves as the platform for Global Foxcom RFoF systems with SNMP-based monitor and control and legacy alarm interfaces.

Features & Benefits

  • 3RU 19 inch rack mount chassis with 12 hot swappable card slots
  • Dedicated controller slot for PL700
  • Dual redundant PL7011 power supplies with load share
  • SNMP monitor and control through PL700
  • Legacy dry contact and open collector alarms
  • RSSI and PDI discrete monitoring on the backplane

PL7010 provides the mechanical and electrical backbone for Global Foxcom RF over Fiber solutions. The backplane supports monitor and control through the PL700 controller while preserving legacy dry contact and open collector alarms and RSSI or PDI discrete monitoring for smooth upgrades from earlier systems. Two PL7011 supplies can be fitted for redundancy and active current sharing, each accepting 100 to 240 VAC input. Cards are hot swappable, and chassis level status and alarms are available through the PL700. The design supports continuous service in equipment rooms and field sites.

How many cards can the chassis hold?

Up to 12 Sat Light Platinum cards can be installed alongside the PL700 controller.

Does the kit include power supplies and controller?

The PL7010C kit ships with two PL7011 power supplies and the PL700 controller. The standard PL7010 chassis can be populated as required.

Can cards be replaced while the system is running?

Yes. Cards are hot swappable so maintenance can proceed without taking the system offline.

How is monitoring and control handled?

The PL700 MCP controller handles the monitoring and control including status and alarms, with legacy alarm points available on the backplane.

What input power and protection are supported?

Each PL7011 accepts 100 to 240 VAC and provides 12 VDC output with protection for excessive temperature, voltage and current, with alarms reported through the PL700.
