Power Supply | PL7011

The PL7011 is a switching power supply for the PL7010 Sat Light and Platinum chassis. It supports 100 to 240 VAC input and delivers up to 180 watts per supply with dual redundant, hot swappable operation for continuous service.

Features & Benefits

  • Designed for the PL7010 chassis
  • Dual redundant with active load share
  • 100 to 240 VAC input range
  • Up to 180 watts per supply at 12 VDC and 15 A
  • Embedded monitoring and control microprocessor
  • No fan and high MTBF
  • Hot swappable modules

PL7011 provides stable 12 VDC power to the PL7010 chassis with headroom for a fully populated rack. Two power supplies are installed for redundancy to share current and maintain service if one unit is removed. An embedded controller reports status and alarms through the PL700 MCP for AC, DC, temperature and general supply health. Protection includes excessive temperature, voltage and current. Passive cooling and redundant operation support continuous service in equipment rooms and field sites.

Do the power supplies support redundancy?

Yes. Two PL7011 units can share current in the same chassis. If one is removed or is faulty the other continues to power the rack.

How is monitoring handled?

The embedded controller reports to the PL700 MCP. You can view AC and DC status, temperature and alarms locally or over the network.

What input range and output capacity are supported?

Input is 100 to 240 VAC. Each supply provides up to 180 watts at 12 VDC and 15 A.

Is there a fan inside the PL7011?

No. The supply uses passive cooling, which helps reduce noise and improves reliability.

What protections are built in?

The unit includes protection for excessive temperature, voltage and current, with corresponding alarms available through the MCP.
